OPTIMA Batteries World Championship Autocross Nov. 1st
The OPTIMA Batteries World Championship Autocross is a one-day competition taking place on November 1st. The field is capped at 100 entries at $250 each. The overall winner receives all the autocross entry fees collected, up to $25,000.
Rules:
- Production based vehicles only. Must have a factory issued vin number and vin tag – no kit cars, no open wheeled vehicles
- Vehicle must have in place and functional headlights, taillights, brake lights and turn signals
- Vehicle must pass basic safety tech – no dumb stuff that could cause harm to anyone
- One driver may compete in one vehicle. Drivers must wear long sleeves, long pants, closed toed shoes, and helmet (must be SA2010 or better, no exceptions) – no passengers allowed
- All aero must fit within the width of the body panels, windshield must be as tall or taller than drivers head – wing no taller than roof on hardtops or top of windshield on convertibles
- Splitters are unregulated, wing may extend 8” behind the production body of the car
- Engine must be production automotive-based, no motorcycle, marine or two stroke engines allowed
- Vehicle must run on gasoline (E85 included), electricity, or diesel fuel. No nitromethane, alcohol, or other fuels allowed – no nitrous
- All 200 treadwear tires are legal. No shaving, no traction compounds, minimum tread depth of 3/32” required at start of event – no tire changing after tech or event has started
- tire failure is disqualification
- Vehicle entries must be approved to enter, no substitutions after approval
